My Grocery Deal of the Week!

I had to run out and put some gas in my mommy-mobile so I could get to work tonight and decided to grab a few coupons on my way out the door and see what kind of damage I could do. By the way, isn’t it awful that you have to purchase $60 in gasoline only to go to work to make $60 after taxes?

Anyway, I only bought two items, but the savings were astronomical!

I had a $.35 off coupon (clipped from 8/7 RedPlum mailer) for Dial. Kroger doubles coupons, making it worth $.70 off.  Dial soap is on sale for $.88.  End price for the soap was $.18.

I then purchased Suave deodorant for $1.06. I had a $.50 off coupon (clipped from my 8/14 SmartSource newspaper insert) . Again, since Kroger doubles my coupon, it was $1 off. Thus, my deodorant only cost me $.6.

In the end, after tax, I handed my checkout lady $.33.
